We were lucky enough to have the Oregon Youth Conservation Corp at Kilchis Point Reserve for four weeks this summer. They did a wonderful job last summer and we are so pleased with the hard work they did this year. These five amazing young men and their leader prepared the Flora and Fauna Trail for gravel, which will begin in a few weeks, and they built the largest 75 foot boardwalk on the property. They thought that we should save the tree at the end of the bridge so they built a deck around the tree. And, because they like spending time at Kilchis Point they volunteered to park cars and helped set up tables, chairs, and tents at Outdoor Discovery Day!
Thank you OYCC for all your hard work and volunteer service! We hope to see you again next summer.
